Depends on the journal, I think! It is not peer-reviewed (alas), but it could have been: the university presses that rejected the project did so because it didn't fit their lines, not because it wasn't scholarly enough. It does have a significant scholarly apparatus (copious endnotes, staying close to primary texts, deploying Sanskrit/Pali terms where appropriate). My four testimonial blurbs are all from highly regarded scholars of South Asian traditions. So it wouldn't be at all out of place to have it reviewed in a scholarly journal; it just depends on whether they have a strict "peer-reviewed only" policy. For example I imagine Journal of Buddhist Ethics (which I've published in many times) would be happy to have one.
If there is a journal that's interested I'd be happy to send you a review copy (which will arrive months before publication!)
